Seorang ibu di Thailand mengeluhkan bagaimana keluarganya berutang
hingga Rp 1,6 miliar ke wedding organizer setelah pengantin pria kabur

Si ibu yang bernama Noi itu mengungkapkan, putrinya yang disebut bernama Da berkenalan dengan Nut, pria yang mengaku sebagai jutawan.
Noi mengatakannya dari kediamannya yang berlokasi di Salaeng Tone, distrik Prakhon Chai, pada Rabu pekan lalu (2/10/2019).
Pesta pernikahan pun digelar pada 10 Mei di sebuah hotel mewah di Distrik Muang, Buriram, seperti diberitakan Bangkok Post pekan lalu.
Noi mengatakan, pesta digelar meriah, dengan wedding organizer disewa, dan menghabiskan dana hingga 3,5 juta baht, atau Rp 1,6 miliar.
Saat hari pernikahan, si pengantin pria diketahui sempat meninggalkan cek senilai 1,6 juta baht, atau sekitar Rp 744 juta.
Namun setelah upacara diselenggarakan, cek itu tiba-tiba menghilang, dengan keluarga Noi tidak tahu di mana keberadaannya.
Noi menuturkan, putrinya yang berusia 30 tahun sempat membawa Nut saat pemakaman sang ayah. Dia mengatakan Nut adalah pria kaya dan berniat melamarnya.
Selain itu, tidak banyak yang diketahui keluarganya. Puncaknya adalah ketika dia kabur dari pesta pernikahan, dan membuat Da berutang.
Dia mengaku tidak tahu bagaimana keluarganya bakal membayar utang. Noi menuturkan anaknya sudah meminta bantuan dari pengacara aktivis.
Wasant Thepnakhon, pemilik hotel di Buriram, menjelaskan pesta pernikahan itu digelar mewah dengan tim profesional didatangkan dari Bangkok.
Da menuturkan, si suami mengelola penerbangan charter antara Thailand dan Hong Kong. Nut disebut tak membayar uang muka untuk pesta pernikahan.
Staf hotel dilaporkan berupaya mendapatkan 400.000 baht, atau sekitar Rp 186,1 juta, untuk biaya hotel hingga hidangan dari Nut.
Namun berdasarkan keterangan pegawai hotel, Nut hingga kini tidak bisa dihubungi dengan ponselnya dikabarkan tidak aktif.
Adapun diberitakan Mothership, wedding organizer tersebut angkat bicara dengan menyatakan, mereka hanya disewa seharga 300.000 baht, atau Rp 139,3 juta.
Si penyelenggara menuturkan, mereka bukanlah wedding organizer besar seperti yang diungkapkan oleh Noi.
“Jangan pernah menyalahkan kami sebelum kalian mendapatkan penjelasan. Terima kasih atas pengertiannya,” ujar si wedding organizer dalam keterangan resmi.
